Just as I was doing this, someone gave me a little push on my left shoulder.
“Liya!”
“So you are working on the diary, ya. Come let me have look.” All this from my best friend, at our first meeting after the weekend, and that too without so much even as a hi.
“Hi Shrey, how are you? How was your weekend?” I replied sarcastically.
“Oh, I thought I could find that out from your diary. You have written about your weekend, haven’t you?” And with no prompting, whatsoever, she picked up my diary.
I have a bad feeling that all her insistence on making me write a journal was all a result of that stupid quiz we took. It said that I didn’t share my life with her. So now she is doing her best to get the information about me.
By now, Liya had finished reading the only diary entry I had made. With a look of sympathy, she said:
“Here read mine for some ideas.”
“See it doesn’t need to be perfect,” Liya told me. “Its all just what you feel. Now add in your feelings. Come on. And let me know when you are done, so that I can read it.” With these words, Liya walked off to the restrooms.
So let’s just begin again, ok?
And just as I was getting into the mood of writing, the bell for the assembly went off.
That’s the girl I started as…that’s the girl I am, until something new happened…
New?
A life changer!
